CREATE THE EXPERIENCE

LIVE THE ADVENTURE!

Royal Rangers has many opportunities to learn and grow as they do fun things with their friends, develop new skills, practice leadership and teamwork, and grow into the young man God created them to be.

Rangers ministry academy

The Royal Rangers program provides leader training to mobilize, inspire, and resource leaders to achieve their greatest success and effectiveness. Royal Rangers training is based on three core values:

SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT

All classroom and event-based leadership training will have a spiritual emphasis.

RANGER SKILLS DEVELOPMENT

Training will focus on the seven methods Royal Rangers use to minister to boys. Ranger skills are a key component of this success.

LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Leadership development will be key as Royal Rangers moves to become a boy led, adult facilitated ministry.

It takes a leader to mentor new leaders. Training will help Royal Rangers strengthen its leadership core.

Church leadership believes that well trained leaders are the key to any ministry’s success. Pastors understand that a trained volunteer is much more likely to commit their time and can be counted on to show up every week. For these reason, and others, the Royal Rangers program places a high priority on leader training.

junior leader training

Junior leader training takes place in the outpost and on the district level. Outpost training involves the Junior Leader Foundations program and leadership merits. District training involves the Junior Leadership Training Academy and a series of Action Camps. Details can be found on the Junior Leader Training page.

Royal Rangers Organizational Leaders Diploma-CE Training

The purpose of Royal Rangers Organizational Leadership Training is to challenge individuals in positions of service beyond the local level to grow spiritually, to develop well-rounded ministry competencies, and to enhance their leadership aptitudes. All organizational leaders are encouraged to begin in this training process as soon as possible following their appointment. The Organizational Leadership Training Chart provides a summary of this training process. Details can be found on the Organizational Leader Training page.

Organizational Leadership Training includes an educational component offered by Berean School of the Bible. This course of study prepares individuals for ministry to boys and their families through the mastery of basic Bible content, theological principles, and general ministry skills. These courses also meet the educational requirements for Assemblies of God Certified Minister and Licensed Minister credentials, allowing individuals to pursue ministerial credentials with their respective districts should they so choose.

The Organizational Leader Training process includes four levels of achievement – Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.

If you have any questions regarding the application process, please call 1-800-443-1083 option 4 to speak with a US Student Services Representative. You may also send an email to berean@globaluniversity.edu.

NATIONAL CAMPS & CONFERENCES

Conducted under the direction of the national Royal Rangers leadership, national training camps & conferences are held at various locations around the country each year. See the national training schedule page for a list of events.

NATIONAL Rangers ministry camp

NRMC provides instruction in leading exciting outpost activities. Each man will be introduced to the following activities: archery, art, air rifle, contemporary camping, computers, drama, music, team building initiatives, trades, and Ranger Derby. Additionally, participants experience what it means to be a boy-lead, adult-facilitated outpost, using the team/patrol system. Most importantly, participants are challenged spiritually to live a life of godly manhood and servant leadership. Every leader will be able to answer the question, “Do I have what it takes to be a godly man?”

NATIONAL ELEMENTARY EDUCATION CONFERENCE

NEEC is an interactive event that gives men and women leaders training in various techniques and methods to effectively teach and mentor boys. Leaders will explore the development and needs of the elementary age group, with Ranger Kids as the main focus. Attendees will gain a better understanding of the needs and characteristics of boys so you can better relate and connect with them.

WORLD CLASS OUTPOST SEMINAR

The WCO seminar is designed to expose the outpost leadership team to a successful set of practices, methods, strategies, and tools that will enable them to develop into a World Class Outpost. The greatest benefit of this event is achieved when the outpost/church leadership attends and completes this event together as a team.

JOHNNIE BARNES EXCELLENCE INITIATIVE

The JBEI seminar will stretch you and your leadership team. You will be challenged to embrace new leadership behaviors and attitudes. Though counter-intuitive, you will discover freedom by embracing limits that lead to greater influence and effectiveness. You will also receive tools to continually improve upon past performance and reach new goals. District leaders are encouraged to ask potential or new organizational leaders to attend this seminar shortly before or after appointing them to their first post of service.  All organizational leaders should attend the seminar every 5 years to refresh their knowledge on current leadership topics.

Royal Rangers instructors play a central role in the success of the program by providing valuable training on both the national and district levels to equip leaders for success in their various areas of responsibility.  See the Instructor Training page for more information.
