FCF Adventure and Trace
Men and boys of all ages can indulge themselves in the great outdoors with a classic twist from the 1800s when they visit the FCF Adventure. This exciting opportunity provides a chance to step back into a world of rugged, pioneering spirit that will transport you back in time. With an unforgettable outdoor adventure that seamlessly combines history and nature, this journey is bound to leave a lasting impression on all who dare to embark upon it. Participants will find themselves exploring the wilderness in a whole new way, honoring the traditions of the past while embracing the excitement of the present. Come and join us on this one-of-a-kind adventure that promises to create memories that will last a lifetime.
Purpose of FCF
The threefold purpose of FCF is to:
- Inspire brotherhood among our members
- Promote personal development through advancement and training
- Provide valuable service to Royal Rangers and beyond
frontiersman Requirement
The following requirements must be met to become a member of FCF and attain “Frontiersman” status.
- Requirements for BOYS
- Be at least 11 years old and a graduate of the 5th grade
- Complete a Frontier Adventure event. (contact your district for details)
- Be an active member of a chartered Royal Rangers outpost, and be recommended for membership by your Pastor and Outpost Coordinator
- Complete all requirements for the following skill merits: Camping and First Aid Skills (or First Aid/CPR).
- Requirements for LEADERS
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Complete a Frontier Adventure event. (contact your district for details)
- Be an active member of a chartered Royal Rangers outpost, and be recommended for membership by your Pastor and Outpost Coordinator
- Be in good standing in your church, regularly practicing a Christlike lifestyle.
- Earn the READY and SAFETY levels of the Outpost Leader Advancement Levels of training.
Buckskin Requirement
The following requirements must be met to attain “Buckskin” status.
- Requirements for BOYS
- Be an active FCF member in good standing in your chapter for at least 1 year.
- Complete a Buckskin Challenge event. (contact your district for details)
- Be an active member of a chartered Royal Rangers outpost, and be recommended for Buckskin status by your Pastor and Outpost Coordinator
- Assist in conducting a Frontier Adventure.
- Achieve Company Trapper status in the Trappers Brigade.
- Earn the Adventure Bronze award or E1 award.
- Complete all requirements for the following skill merits: Knife & Hawk, plus one from the list specified in the handbook.
- Requirements for LEADERS
- Be an active FCF member in good standing in your chapter for at least 1 year.
- Complete a Buckskin Challenge event. (contact your district for details)
- Be an active member of a chartered Royal Rangers outpost, and be recommended for Buckskin status by your Pastor and Outpost Coordinator
- Assist in conducting a Frontier Adventure.
- Achieve Company Trapper status in the Trappers Brigade.
- Be in good standing in your church, regularly practicing a Christlike lifestyle.
- Assist at least one boy in completing the membership requirements for FCF.
- Earn the TRAINED level of the Outpost Leader Advancement Levels of training.
