Registration Instructions

Registration Instructions – Please make sure to complete the registration form and follow the included directions to complete all permissions, participant form, and personal information. Be aware that:
1. For participants under the age of 18, the online participant form, via DocuSign, must be completed per the enclosed instructions and a PRINTED COPY must be provided to the Mountainmen Territory on site during the registration check-in process.
2. For adult participants, the online participant form, via DocuSign, must be completed per the enclosed instructions and a PRINTED COPY must be provided to the Mountainmen Territory on site during the registration check-in process.
3. Failure to provide a printed copy of the completed forms will require completion of the forms online, including parent and pastor electronic signatures as part of the process IF there is adequate cellular signal at the campsite. This will be extremely difficult and we cannot allow a camper to enter unless we have these printed copies. SO PLEASE DON’T FORGET!

Be reminded:
1. Bring copies of the 2021 Territorial Rendezvous Registration form, the completed participant form for each applicant to the event.
2. Bring a valid picture ID for each applicant.
3. Bring a valid NRA / NMLRA shooter’s card if you are looking to participate in black powder shooting activities.

New to FCF - STEP 1

Frontier Adventure – The Frontier Adventure is the entry level event to become a member of FCF. During the Frontier Adventure, candidates will be challenged as they experience life in a frontier village and get hands on instruction with basic camping and frontier skills. During the Frontier Adventure the candidate will be challenged to become a Torchbearer, one who will proclaim the light of Christ to the world. The Frontier Adventure will begin as the Wednesday evening service comes to an end. The Frontier Adventure Ceremony will take place during the Friday evening service. In order to make the Frontier Adventure a successful and viable advancement experience, at least ten (10) candidates will need to submit an application and be willing to participate.

Requirements for the Frontier Adventure can be found below.

Requirements for BOYS

  • Be at least 11 years old and a graduate of the 5th grade
  • Be an active member of a chartered Royal Rangers outpost.
  • Complete all requirements for the following skill merits: Camping and First Aid Skills (or First Aid/CPR).
  • Complete a Frontier Adventure event. (contact your district for details)

Requirements for LEADERS

  • Be at least 18 years old.
  • Be an active member of a chartered Royal Rangers outpost.
  • Be in good standing in your church, regularly practicing a Christlike lifestyle.
  • Complete a Frontier Adventure event. (contact your district for details)
  • Earn the READY and SAFETY levels of the Outpost Leader Advancement Levels of training.

Mountainmen Participant Forms

The participant forms for this territorial rendezvous will be signed electronically via DocuSign. You simply click on the URL after the participant form you need to complete and follow the online instructions.

Young Bucks (minors) : Parental Consent & Medical Treatment Authorization for Minors (PCA)

Once you click on the URL for Young Bucks, you will see the following instructions:

As the designated Signer, you will receive an email inviting you to fill out the Parental Consent and Medical Treatment Authorization form details for your minor Child. Once completed, you must click the yellow action button FINISH to fully submit the form (with a required CC to the designated Event Coordinator) so your child can get to participate in this RR FCF Territorial Rendezvous on July 20-23, 2021, in Torreon, NM.

Once you’ve electronically signed and submitted the form successfully, you will receive a follow-up DocuSign email confirmation. From this second DocuSign email, please access your fully signed form (attached to it) and print out three copies, of all pages.
• Retain one copy for yourself;
• Give one copy to the local church’s Event Leader who will retain it while transporting the group to and from (and during) the Rendezvous; and
• Drop one copy off at the onsite Event Registration upon your Child’s arrival. (Note: This can be given to the Event Leader to drop off on your behalf.)

You will then receive an email invitation to access this electronic form. Please fill out the Assumption of Risk form details along with the Pastoral Certification information. Once completed, you must click the yellow action button FINISH to fully submit the form to solicit your Pastor’s approval for you to serve as a local church youth ministry worker at the RR Trappers FCF Territorial Rendezvous on June 23–26, 2021, in Cascade, ID.

Once signed by your pastor, you will receive a follow-up DocuSign email confirmation. From this second DocuSign email, please access the fully signed form (attached to it), and print out three copies, all pages.
• Retain one for yourself;
• Give one to the local church’s Event Leader who will retain it while transporting the group to and from (and during) the Rendezvous; and
• Drop one copy off at the onsite Event Registration upon your arrival.

Activities and Competitions

Trail Events – An extremely challenging series of activities and events that will test the ability of even the most skilled frontiersmen in the territories. Expect new looks on the age-old standards of black powder shooting, archery, hawk & knife throwing, fire starting, and historical outfits. Earn extra points for completing Arrowhead Merit requirements while completing the Frontier Skills trail. Prizes will be available for those that shine through the wilderness.

Oso Grande Award Chapter Competition

Oso Grande Award Chapter Competitions

The NEW Oso Grande Award, recognition for the top performing chapter at rendezvous, will be up for grabs. Chapters can earn points through a number of event related activities – such as chapter member event attendance as a percentage of overall chapter membership, chapter games, competition performance, volunteer participation, horn blowing competition, and necklace competition.

Chapter Competition Criteria

1-200 points for registered chapter member percentage (50 points for 25% of chapter membership attendance, 100 points for 50%, 150 points for 75%, 200 points for 100+%)
25 points per Scout participant
50 points for Territorial Scout winner
100 points for National Scout winner
25 points for a complete Arrowhead Merit
5 pts for completing a single Arrowhead Merit requirement (cap at 100 pts per chapter)
10 points for each completed and submitted scorecard
100 points for overall events winner
1-200 points for percentage of submitted scorecards
50 points for 25% of chapter scorecard submissions, 100 points for 50%, 150 points for 75%, 200 points for 100+%
50 points for winning the horn blowing competition
50 points for winning the necklace/medallion contest
10 points per volunteer service time completed
50 points for winning a chapter game
25 points for facilitating Arrowhead Merit requirements
50 points for District Director attendance
50 points for Chapter President attendance
10 points for highest score on an individual event

Arrowhead Merits

Skill activities will be geared towards completing requirements for the following Frontier merits – Archer, Blacksmith, Hawkman, Knifeman, Tradesman, Rifleman, Preacher, and Musician. View the requirements for the Arrowhead Merits before the event and try to complete as much as possible ahead of time.

Please view the requirements for the Arrowhead Merits that an individual can complete while at rendezvous – see attached document.

If you have already completed an Arrowhead Merit, please bring your certificate. The Plainsmen Territory will present the Pilgrim Award (completion of 3 Arrowhead Merits) to five individuals that are able to complete requirements for three Arrowhead merits while at rendezvous. Building on the Arrowhead Merit gains of the 2019 Territorial Rendezvous, the territory will present the Pioneer Award (completion of 6 Arrowhead Merits) to five individuals that are able to complete requirements for three Arrowhead merits while at rendezvous.
